This is a well used, but not abused ,S&W Second Model No. 3 American,.Serial number #28790 is found on back of right grip panel . Latch and cylinder haver assembly numer "118". It is Chambered in .44 American (S&W). Blue with case hardened hammer and trigger guard. Frame is notched for shoulder stock. 8" ribbed barrel. Full radius pinned front sight with "V" notch rear sight. Square butt with two piece walnut grips. Very good overall condition with traces of original blue. Overall a grey/brown patina. Grips are very good with scattered dents, showing moderate wear. Bore is near fine with moderate abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. Caliber .44 S&W American.
