Description:
Unusual Tranter 19th century .380cal rim fire revolver made in the early 1870's , with a 5" octagonal  barrel and a clean bore with sharp rifling and some corrosion down in the grooves but not ;pitted. Indexes and locks up togjht.. Some fine bank note chisel engraving on tjhe frame flats, and the SN is 7966 under the Tranter name on the left sudez. An area of corrposion near the bottom right side , and much vbright English blue in places. The English hand checkered walnut grips are clean and complete.. Looks like the receiver was nickel and the barrel b;lue at one time.Two Birmingham proofs on the barrel.
