Description: Antique Large-Bore Tranter ''British Bull Dog'' Style Double Action Revolver, #58320, .450 CF cal., 2.675'' octagonal barrel with blade front sight and border-engraved muzzle, dealer marked ''Cogswell & Harrison/223 & 224 Strand, London'' on right angled flat, and ''450'' flanked by proof marks on left; plain round 5-shot cylinder; solid frame has fine double-line border engraving with a flower at hammer screw on both sides, is marked ''*Tranter*/Patent'' in an oval and ''58320'' at left breech; spring-actuated cylinder pin (swivels left for cartridge ejection), release lever below and a right-side hinged loading gate, large loop trigger guard, and integral grip straps with lanyard loop on oval buttplate; one-piece varnished checkered walnut grips. Condition is very good+. Metal surfaces retain no original finish but an overall bright gunmetal color with sharp edges, engraving and markings.
