Nickel finish, Folding Hammer, Loading gate , 5 shot , side-mounted cylinder pin release, in .32 S&W. Serial # 461
Very rare model produced the 1st year of production in 1875

The Hopkins & Allen XL No 3 is a double action revolver that was part of the Series 1 collection, This model produced around 1875, as indicated by its serial number.
Condition: 2 ¾” .32 S&W Octagon barrel with a good bore showing areas of light oxidation, very minor spot pin-pitting in the grooves with strong rifling. The metal of the revolver still retains most of the original nickel plate finish with the finish fading , some minor scratches, freckling, handling marks, and edge wear. The original factory hard rubber grips are in good condition with just minor handling marks and a crack repair done to the top right grip.
The top markings remain crisp and legible.
Mechanically the revolver appears to work very well in single or double action with good timing and lock-up. Just a tiny bit of cylinder play.
The current condition of the item listed has been described to the best of my ability . Please examine the photos , text thoroughly and make sure to ask any and all questions prior to .
