WM . UHLINGER ROLLIN WHITE PATENT INFRINGEMENT REVOLVER .32 cal Rim


Description:
   An interesting revolver made about 1861 to 1865 ,Appears to be a WM.Uhlinger Pocket Revolver, with a Rollin white infringement on S&W patent of a bored thru cylinder. S&W later stopped the making of these guns by court order. Cylinder stops are at the front of the revolver.This particular gun has no name but a serial number : 2724. The 5" long octagonal tapered barrel has a decent bore with good rifling and some surface corrosion. The caliber appears to be .30 /.31. Gun locks up very solid and the America walnut grips have 100% original finish.The under barrel rod is to remove the shells from the cylinder, and the rod retainer has a chipped outside edge. The underside of the gun has original blue, remainder of the gun is grey patina. The cylinder stop is at the front of the cylinder, and this gun may have had a spring steel loading gate, or cartridge stop? no longer present, but remnants  An interesting gun from an early cartridge era! Check my inventory of rare grips, unusual gun parts, barrels and holsters.
