An Early Civil War Colt #3A Model Percussion Root Revolver In Its Original Case With Accessories In Very Good Untouched Condition. Serial #28,396 with all matching numbers. Made in 1861, all original and complete in .28 caliber. Only 5,000 made. The scarce revolver has very good plus metal, markings, & edges. This includes the fluted cylinder. The metal on thr revolver has a nice untouched natural patina throughout it with the frame still retaining lots of original factory blue on it. All screws are nice. The original grips are fine throughout with a wonderful color to them. It has a very good bore and action.
     The original case and accessories are nice and untouched throughout. The case has a nice original factory lining and all partitions are also original. There is a thin hairline in the top of the lid which is tight and very old. The double sided eagle and shield flask is nice throughout with tight seams all around it. It works properly. The original "Colt's Patent" mold is untouched and factory silvered. There is also a root screwdriver & an "Eley" 100 count cap tin.
This Is An Early Civil War Colt #3A Model Percussion Root Revolver In Its Original Case With Accessories. It Would Be A Fine Addition To Any Civil War Collection!
