Here is a very handsome antique Cooper Fire Arms 36 caliber Navy pistol being sold to help liquidate a local NE Ohio estate.
Percussion, 5 shot cylinder. All matching numbers on the cylinder, barrel and frame. Nice octagon barrel.
Made in Philadelphia, PA circa 1863.
Patent Dates of 1851, 1854, 1860, and 1863.
Overall length is approx. 9 inches, overall height is approx. 4 - 1/2 inches.
Barrel and cylinder show metal aging to a gray color with some darker spots scattered. Some light surface rust on faicng of cylinder - NOT serioius.
Brass frame also aging to a deeper brass color.
Ramrod works normally.
Could not engage the half cock but full cock ooerated normally and trigger released hammer.
All 5 nipples present on cylinder.
Nicely hallmarked on top of barrel.
Antique black powder so it can ship direct to you.
