Circa 1840's Large Double Barrel Percussion Pistol- one rifled one smoothbore

Description:

Here's a double barreled percussion belt pistol. The barrels each seem to be about 45 caliber with one barrel rifled and the other is a smooth bore. I can find no markings so I assume it is American made. A very unusual gun in wonderful condition with a beautiful hand carved stock with no cracking and a perfect finish. Bores are excellent and both locks work perfectly. Metal mostly patina. Wonderful early American workmanship.
