         A Rare & Early U.S. Civil War Double Action Starr Percussion Navy Revolver With The name "SHALER" Engraved On Both Grips In Very Nice Untouched Condition. Serial #1,538 all matching numbers, all original and complete. Made 1858-1860, only 3,000 made. The revolver has fine metal, markings, and edges. It has some nice original blue, and case colors throughout it. The original wood grips are nice throughout and both sides are engraved with the name "SHALER" on them. General Shaler Started SHALER'S BRIGADE" and also won the Medal Of Honor! There were more of these "Starr Navy Revolvers" that were also purchased by "SHALER'S BRIGADE". The revolver has a fine action and bore in it. This Scarce & Identified To "SHALER'S BRIGADE" Starr Navy Revolver Would Be A Wonderful Addition To Any Fine Collection And Needs Further Research Done On It!
