Description: Standard configuration Remington 1858 New Model Army, six-shot single action percussion revolver, with an eight inch barrel having a conical brass drift adjustable front sight and grooved rear sight. Top of barrel marked with the two line Remington address referencing patent in 1858. Full SN is under barrel,
on the rear of cylinder, and on left frame under the unnumbered wood grips. Major components blued; color case hardened hammer, fire blued trigger, and brass trigger guard. Condition: VG original blue with sharp edge wear and patchy areas of oxidation as one might expect from a revolver that is nearly 175 years old. Comparable condition grips that are oil darkened; small chips at upper and lower leading edge of each panel. Near mirror bore. Proper manual function with each cylinder indexing correctly. ANTIQUE!
