Antique Civil War Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver With Scarce and Excellent Attachable Shoulder Stock
Description: Antique Civil War Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver With Scarce and Excellent Attachable Shoulder Stock Here we present an antique Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver. The Model 1860 was the single most used pistol of the American Civil War. Over 200,000 were made from 1860 to 1873, and 156,000 were made by the end of the war in 1865. 1860 Army revolvers were issued to cavalry, artillery and some infantry. This specimen is in fine overall condition. All numbers match. The naval cylinder scene is visible. Letters are still sharp. Wood grips still show a military inspector cartouche. The initials “JWC” are carved into the left grip panel. Retains a lot of blue and has a very nice patina. Bore is in good condition and the action is excellent. The stock is in excellent overall condition, with just a few handling marks. Nice patina on the brass with a small amount of verdigris around the edges. Iron saddle ring and the clasp are slightly pitted. Numbers match from the butt to the yoke, but do not match the numbers of the gun. Most gun/stock combinations are mismatched, but these are still quite difficult to find. The stock connects solidly to the revolver and it does provide a very nice platform from which to shoot. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Compare to $14,500 elsewhere! Barrel is round and 8 inches in length. Caliber: .44 percussion The bore is in good condition and the action is excellent. Overall condition as seen in photos. Here is a rare item for your Civil War collection. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $11,000 #21545 SOLD Antique: Yes |
