Cased CIVIL WAR Remington-Beals ARMY REVOLVER
Description: Cased CIVIL WAR Remington-Beals ARMY REVOLVER With a Full Line of Accouterments! Here we present a scarce antique Remington-Beals Army Percussion Revolver, manufactured circa 1861-1862 at the Remington Armory in Ilion, New York. Fordyce Beals (1807-1870) was a firearm engineer who worked both for the Eli Whitney’s Whitneyville Armory and then the Remington Armory in the mid-1850s. During his time at Remington, he developed the Remington-Beals six shot, single action, solid frame Army revolver which appeared in 1861. It shared much in common with its predecessor the Whitney. It was a rugged and reliable revolver that saw service with both sides of the American Civil War. This one comes cased and with accoutrements. The grips have attractive figure. The overall condition is good. The iron parts have a mostly gray patina with semi-legible markings on the barrel. The original cylinder comes with this gun and a reproduction currently on the gun as the previous owner shot this old gal. The cylinder is easily swapped back and forth depending on your wishes. The grips are well-made and attractive replacements. The bore is in good shape with nice rifling. The action is strong. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 8 inch octagon. Caliber: .44 Percussion Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $2475 #8224 SOLD Antique: Yes |
