CIVIL WAR Era Antique LUCIUS W. POND .32 RF “SEPARATE CHAMBER” Revolver
Manufactured to Circumvent the ROLLIN WHITE PATENT
Description: CIVIL WAR Era Antique LUCIUS W. POND .32 RF “SEPARATE CHAMBER” Revolver Manufactured to Circumvent the ROLLIN WHITE PATENT Here we present an antique Lucius W. Pond Separate Chamber Spur Trigger Revolver, manufactured circa 1863-70 in Worcester, Massachusetts. To avoid Rollin White patent, this revolver was chambered for either .22 and .32 caliber rimfire cartridges that fit into separate steel chamber inserts that can be removed from front of cylinder for loading. The .22-caliber version came with a 3.5" octagonal barrel with a 7-round unfluted cylinder, while the .32 caliber version came with either a 4", 5", or 6" octagonal barrel and 6-shot unfluted cylinder. The frames were all silver-plated brass with the barrels and cylinders blued. The standard markings include "L.W. Pond, Worcester, Mass." along with the patent dates. Approximately 2,000 were manufactured in .22 caliber, with roughly 5,000 in .32 caliber between 1863 and 1870. The overall condition is good. Strong action. The bore is in good shape for its age. Numbers match. This example has been refinished. Markings are eligible, although the barrel address is worn. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 3-1/2 inches. Caliber: .22 Rimfire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1000 #233309 SOLD Antique: Yes |
