The Springfield Arms Co. was short lived thanks to swift legal action by Samuel Colt and only operated c.1850-51. They manufactured a total of approximately 125 Navy model revolvers with the dual trigger mechanism and roughly an equal amount with a single trigger. The revolver is based on designs by James Warner.
