Description:
Nice Colt1860 Army revolver with period slim jim holster. Holster originally housed an 1851 navy with a 7-1/2" barrel but was altered to allow a longer 8" barrel revolver to fit. This model 1860 is a perfect fit, alteration also serves as a toe plug and still has it's original leather tie for fastening to the leg. The worn ivory grips are not original but are in good condition and aged to a lovely golden yellow patina. I believe the grips are known as wasp-wasted slim jim grips. Early Ser. # dates the year of manufacture to 1861. It's a four screw variation which was made for shoulder stock attachment. Overall very good condition with metal an even dark grey patina overall. Action is perfect. One frame screw missing - still nice and tight though. My cell # is 808-429-7240 for any questions.
