Factory Cased Beaumont Adams Must See!
Description: Factory Cased Beaumont Adams .54 Bore in excellent condition. This 442 caliber percussion Beaumont-Adams revolver was made by the London Armory Company and marketed by Reilly Gunmakers in London. It has an approx. 5 5/8" octagon barrel and no markings on top strap of revolver. All metal is blue with approximately 90% remaining. The right side of the frame is marked ADAMS' PATENT. No. 30357. The cylinder is marked 30357. The barrel left oblique flat is marked With two proof marks (see pic). Each chamber of the cylinder is inspected with a crown/V. The grips are excellent with fine checkering and no chips or cracks. The action functions perfectly. Included in the case are the correct two-cavity mold marked with a crown over an oval reading REGISTERED ADAMS with 28 Nov./1851 inside that. It is also marked 54 which is the bore designation (.442). Also included in the case are an excellent Dixon bag flask, Joyce cap tin, cleaning rod, percussion nipple wrench, and original key for the case. Reilly label is still intact on underside of lid. I bought this cased set many years ago, the story that came with (only a story, no actual proof) it was it was purchased from an elderly woman in Charleston SC that said it belonged to a family member that served in Civil War. This is a super cased Beaumont-Adams revolver that is fit for the finest collection. SOLD Antique: Yes |
