Moore 7 shot revolver - VF+ condition
Description: Moore's 7 shot belt revolver in very fine+ condition. Serial #12xx. Very early 1861 civil war production. 32 caliber rimfire. These are becoming very scarce. 5,000 - 8,000 made. The walnut grips are in excellent condition This gun has not been refinished or touched whatsoever. It has the more common and desireable 6 inch octagonal barrel. Barrel bluing has turned to an attractive mottled purple and is consistent all over and consistent with cylinder. Very tight revolver. No pitting anywhere. This seven shooter was carried by many civil war officers. This gun was a very popular competitor to the Smith & Wesson revolvers....but Moore lost a lawsuit from S&W and therefore had to cease production in 1863. $1,750. Shipping $10. No FFL needed - this is an antique - ships right to your door. Let me know of questions or more pictures. SOLD Antique: Yes Manufacturer: Moore |
