PATENT INFRINGEMENT Prescott NAVY Revolver Antique Roughly 1 of 300 Made!
Description: PATENT INFRINGEMENT Prescott NAVY Revolver Antique Roughly 1 of 300 Made! Here we present an antique E. A. Prescott Navy Revolver in .38 rimfire, made circa 1862 in Worcester, Massachusetts. This hard to find revolver was manufactured circa 1861 to 1863 with an estimated total production of only a few hundred. Next to the Allen and Wheelock .44 Lipfire, the Prescott is one of the largest and earliest full sized rimfire cartridge revolvers produced during the American Civil War. The top barrel flat is marked "E.A. PRESCOTT, WORCESTER, MASS./PAT. OCT. 2 1860". Prescott revolvers were infringements on the Rollin White patent and the production of this and other Prescott models were stopped through legal action by Smith & Wesson. Some of these revolvers were known to be carried by Union officers and enlisted men as personal sidearms. The overall condition is very good. The metal parts have a light patina throughout with clear markings. The rosewood grips are in fine condition. The bores is very good, clean with sharp rifling. The action is excellent. Here is a great example of Prescott’s very scarce and desirable Navy Revolver made early-Civil War in 1862! Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 7-1/8 inches. Caliber: .38 Rimfire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1825 #190747 SOLD Antique: Yes |
