Description: A Scarce Civil War Starr Arms Co. Model 1858 Double Action Percussion Navy Revolver In Fine untouched Condition. Early serial #1,538, all matching numbers. All original and complete. Made in .36 caliber. Only 3,000 made from 1858-1860. The revolver has fine metal, markings, and edges. All of the metal on the gun has a chocolate brown patina on it with some original blue showing in areas around it. The loading lever and hammer both show silvery case colors on them. All screw are fine with original blue on them. The original grips are nice throughout and have the name "SHALER" engraved on both sides. This name definitely deserves more research done on it.
