Description:
.LAYAWAY?,,, SCARCER m1863 44 caliber. 8" barrel. SN: 27067. Oxidized brown metal with no remaining finish, one piece oiled walnut grip. Single action percussion revolver with un-fluted six-chambered cylinder with hammer nose groove rear sight sight and dovetailed blade front sight. Standard Starr Arms frame markings, matching serial number on upper rear frame recess and cylinder. Weak single letter sub-inspection marks on metal, traces of cartouche on left side of grip.

CONDITION:
Good-very good. Bore dark, dirty and pitted with visible rifling. Metal  oxidized with a mostly mottled brown and gray patina and some scattered pitting. Mechanics operate fine.  Grip with moderate wear, lightly sanded, scattered impact marks and some additional dings and mars.
