Colt Whitneyville Walker 1847, .44 Caliber, 6-Shot, Percussion Revolver (REPLICA)
Description: This replica of the Colt Whitneyville Walker 1847, .44 caliber, six-shot, percussion, revolver was made Italy by San Marco Replica Arms. It has a nine-inch barrel, weighs in at 4 pounds, 10 ounces, and has an overall length of 16 inches. The left side of the rear portion of the barrel is stamped "WHITNEYVILLE WALKER 1847 CAL. 44" (first line), "BLACK POWDER ONLY – MADE IN ITALY" (second line), and "S. MARCO GARDONE V.T. BRESCIA". The cylinder is engraved or stamped fully around, per the original revolvers, with a battle scene between the USMR (United States Mounted Rifles) and an indian war party (Comanche, aka Numunuu, I believe). Also engraved or stamped on the cylinder is "MODEL U.S.M.R." and "PATENT No 502". The only accessory with this gun it the original percussion-cap nipple tool. There are NO box, papers, or other accessories with this gun. The overall condition is 98 percent. The metal has a few very light scratches that are smooth to the touch – a couple on the forward portion of the barrel and a few on the rear portion of the barrel. The frame has 90 to 95 percent of its original case-hardened frame colors. On the right side of the frame, just above the trigger, there is a ½ x ½-inch area where it looks like the colors are rubbed off. The left side of the frame, just above the trigger, has two similar, but smaller areas. The cylinder and its engraving or stamping is in excellent condition, with one exception. The cylinder has a 3/4-inch x 1/16 inch scratch that is through the bluing, but does not to the depth of the engraving; all the engraving lines are visible. The wood stock panels are practically perfect. The right side, up near frame has a few very small and light scratches. Other than what I have described, there are no other marks or other signs of wear. The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details. Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better. The buyer pays $25 for USPS Priority Mail and $11.50 per the USPS insurance schedule. Thus, the total purchase price, postage, and insurance is $486.50 The fastest way to get this gun is to pay with a USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money order, as it is like cash, and I don’t have to wait for it to clear. I will ship the revolver immediately upon receipt of USPS money orders and an FFL. However, I will also accept a personal check and other types of money orders, as well as bank checks and cashier's checks, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank; this includes bank checks and cashier’s checks. Check or money order must be made payable to Jerry Pownall or Barboursville Arms. SOLD |
