#4874 Colt 1860 Army (AKA, “Holster Pistol”), 44caliber, 157XXX (1866)
Description:
#4874 Colt 1860 Army (AKA, “Holster Pistol”), 44caliber, 157XXX (1866), all matching serial numbers except for the wedge, which is unnumbered. Good bore and fine action; the bore looks like at least a “6” that should clean even better with a light cleaning. Overall smooth even thin brown exterior with almost no pitting at all and some faint traces of blue at the barrel lug, the cylinder rebate, and the top of the back-strap. Liberal traces of scene which is about 30-40% intact, and good wood grips with toe wear to both sides and otherwise showing only average wear. Overall, this is a decent and well above average standard post-CW military Army that obviously has had good care all its long life, but never saw action in the Civil War. About VG as described. $1895
