A very fine Colt Richards Mason large Navy conversion to .38 center fire. Early 4 digit serial number matches throughtout. Scarce gun with round barrel and both rack and unit markings on the gun. Unit markings are unknown or researched.
Still has a large amount of original nickel finish. Action works well. Strong lock up. A great piece of history with a gun that spanned the Civil War to Western frontier days. As found in a large southern collection. Most of these are in rough condition. This gun is a fine piece. Always open to offers and trades.
