Description:
The Colt 1860 "Army" was an improved version of the earlier 1851 "Navy" pistol that was altered to accept .454 Cal round balls instead of the .375 Cal balls used in the Navy. This example was made in 1862 and clearly shows its age. the vast majority of its finish has faded to plumb brown and there is extensive signs of wear, as the barrel fit and cylinder lockup is very sloppy. The action is functional but like the barrel fit is sloppy.
