This is a Colt New Army & Navy Double-Action Revolver, likely produced around 1892-1893 and chambered in .38 Long Colt. This revolver has U.S. military provenance, indicated by the R.A.C. (Rinaldo A. Carr) and K inspector markings. It was the U.S. military's first general-issue double-action revolver with a swing-out cylinder. Note that the original barrel has been cut.
