Near new Colt Cobra alloy frame snub-nose revolver in .38 Special, SN: 11116-LW, made 1952, with 2" barrel, checkered Coltwood grips, complete with warning in original factory box.

Description:

Standard configuration Colt Cobra Snub Nose Revolver, chambered in .38 Special with 2” barrel, fixed sights, the left side of the barrel is marked “COBRA/.38 SPECIAL CTG”.; the right side marked with the small lettered factory address. Rampant Colt on sideplate. Full serial number matched on the frame, crane and white wax penciled on the bottom of the box. Fitted with checkered Coltwood grips. Complete with original brown shipping box with gold lettering referencing model and caliber on end label, white waxed SN on bottom. Literature includes gunsmith’s warning.

Condition:

Virtually new, original finish, cylinder ring does not cut through the blue, no cartridge head imprints on recoil shield, verified proof cuts through the anodizing, tiny edge ring around forward sideplate screw and two small scuff marks on bottom of backstrap. As new grips. Mirror bore. VG box with moderate shelf wear, forward edge on lid beginning to separate. A wonderful Colt Cobra with alloy frame from 1952!
