Description:
Colt Officer’s Model Target revolver made 1950 with 6" barrel, caliber .38 Spl, fitted by the King Gun Sight Company to its premium Super Target configuration. Features a full-length ventilated rib, red-insert reflector front sight, micrometer-adjustable rear sight, checkered trigger and an overside, short throw, beavertail checkered hammer with custom tuned action. Standard checkered grips, each with a Colt medallion in their upper field, unmarked inner surfaces. An attractive example of one of the most desirable American target revolver conversions of the period.
Condition:
VG+ original finish with sharp edge wear, a scattering of fine handling marks, and thinning on the right side of the frame and under the trigger guard, as one might expect from a target handgun that has seen moderate use. Haloed verified proof mark on the left side of the frame. Comparable condition oiled darkened grips with sharp checkering, no cracks or splits. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics.
