A terrific Colt nickel Detective Special that dates to 1930 and was shipped to the Detroit Police Department. The gun remains in 99% condition and looks like it sat in the Sargents desk for most of it's life. The nickel finish is in excellent condition and there is not any peeling or flaking. The factory checkered walnut grips remain in new condition. This is certainly one of the best condition nickel pre war Detective Special's that I have encountered. The gun has the back strap and butt marked which was standard for all of the Detroit Police Department guns. It comes with a factory Colt letter showing it was shipped to the City of Detroit on August 15, 1930 in a shipment of 25 guns. Please contact Cam 248-388-3300. This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for shipment.
