Offered is a Colt Police Positive Special that was shipped to the United States Mint in Washington D.C. It is chambered in .38 Special and has the 4” barrel. The back strap is marked U.S. Mint and includes the U.S. Mint marking on the butt with No. 17. This was one of 40 Colts that were shipped to the United States Mint and delivered to Colt representative Joseph A. Lorch (See Photo) in Washington, D.C. who was responsible for suppling Colts to the U.S. Government Agencies. The gun remains in excellent condition and was not likely fired much. A Colt Archive letter is included with the gun as is an original U.S. Mint badge. This is an early Colt revolver with historical significance. I offer a three-day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $65 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information. Please see my other collectible firearms that I have listed.
