Exceptional, Factory-Nickel Colt Frontier Six Shooter - With Factory Letter
SALE PENDING
Description: This is an exceptional example of a factory-nickeled Colt Frontier Six Shooter revolver, manufactured in 1884 and chambered in .44 CF. It comes with a Colt factory letter that states this gun was shipped to Simmons Hardware Company in St Louis, Missouri on September 16, 1884. The letter also confirms the 4.75" barrel and the original nickel finish. The finish on this particular gun is exceptional compared to almost any you will see. Most of the actual finish loss is a small area of flaking on the right side of the frame. Areas of light spotty oxidation here and there. For the most part, the screws show really nice bright bluing, but we believe one or two of the screws and the base pin have been re-blued. The grips have also been replaced with second-generation American Eagle grips. The bore is excellent for its age with great rifling. But there are some areas of pin-pricking and light oxidation here and there. Fully functional. No FFL required. Antique: Yes Handgun Caliber: .44 Price: $12,500.00 Contact Seller |
