Colt 1851 Navy Second gen very early C series Royal Blue C1121-Clamshell Box

Sold pending funds. Second generation C1121-Colt Model 1851 Navy percussion revolver with 36 cal. 7% octagon barrel, hinged loading lever, six shot cylinder with roll engraved naval battle scene - "C" Series Royal Blue barrel, wedge, cylinder, trigger and screws - case hardened frame, loading lever and hammer - silver plated brass backstrap and square back trigger guard - one piece varnished walnut grip. They say that when a Colt is first taken to the range, a Royal Blue Colt is still back at the factory getting polished.
Rare. Very early production serial number 7012 with the “O” Cipher stamped on the frame below the serial supposedly to indicate first few thousand produced. This gun was manufactured in 1972 according to Proofhouse. Colt started the second generation Navy at Serial number 4201.
