Description:
"Serial number 311690. Made circa late 1860s to early 1870s. 38 RF caliber with a 3.5" barrel. This is an exceptional example of a Pocket navy conversion. The barrel has 95%+ of the original blue. The frame has bright case colors. The cylinder has some slight thinnin, but still more than 80% of the original blue. The grips are excellent with almsot all of the original varnish. Colt Conversions were a way to use up percussion parts for the cartridge period. The civil war was transitional period where the percussion period was expiring and the cartridge period was replacing it. This is an excellent example!
