"Excellent Colt 1862 Pocket Navy Cartridge Conversion (50907)
Description:
"Serial number 316686. Made in the late 1860s – early 1870s. 38 RF caliber with a 3.5 barrel. This gun is in excellent condition with 95%+ of the original nickel finish. The screws still have original blue remaining. The grips are in excellent condition with all of the original varnish. This is a beautiful example. Colt Conversions were a way to use up percussion parts for the cartridge period. The civil war was transitional period where the percussion period was expiring and the cartridge period was replacing it.
