**SALE PENDING** Colt M1909 New Service US Army Marked Revolver Chambered in .45 Colt **An Honest and True Historical Piece**

**SALE PENDING** Here we have an honest and true 1911 mfg Colt M1909 chambered in .45 Colt. The M1909 was the US Army designation for their version of the Colt New Service revolver. These beautifully fit and finished big Colts were the last of the U.S. issued double actions in .45 Colt caliber. This beautiful gun still has most of it's parkerized finish and it has taken on a warm patina over time. There some holster wear at the end of the barrel and some high edge wear. The 5 1/2" barrel has a nice shiney bore with strong rifling and the underside is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY".  "R.A.C." (for Rinaldo A. Carr) inspector stamps are on the cylinder, barrel and frame. The bottom of the grip frame is marked correctly "US Model 1909" with the serial number and lanyard loop. The action operates smoothly and locks up very tight. The cylinder release and ejector function smoothly and tight. If this fine Colt could talk it would certainly have some tales of adventure. This gun would make a fine addition to an existing collection or the beginnings of a new one.
