Colt New Service .38 W.C.F. with 5 1/2” barrel from 1903 and early Case Hardened Hammer
Description:
Offered is a very desirable early Colt New Service from 1903, the 4th year of production. It is chambered in .38 W.C.F. (.38-40 ) and has the 5 1/2” barrel and was built on the early model frame that collectors look for. This was the time period that Colt used the high polish bluing and case hardened hammers. It has the seldom encountered last patent date of 1900. The gun remains in very good condition and retains much of its original bluing. The bore is very good as is the action and lock up. The original hard rubber grips both number to the gun and are free from cracks and chips. It is equipped with the original lanyard ring. A terrific first model early New Service that is chambered in an old world caliber and perfect for the Colt New Service lover. An excellent example for a gun that is 118 years old. I offer a three-day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
