Colt New Service Target Pistol, .45 Colt, 7.5" Barrel
Description:
The Colt New Service Target with a 7.5" barrel is an exceptionally rare, premium vintage double-action revolver manufactured between 1900 and 1940. Built on Colt's massive, heavy-duty "New Service" frame, the Target variant was highly customized at the factory specifically for competitive target shooting, transforming Colt's rugged military service sidearm into a refined, match-grade firearm. Because the massive New Service frame was primarily utilized for military, border patrol, and police contracts, very few were pulled aside to be built into the specialized "Target" configuration. Today, a 7.5-inch Target model in .45 Colt is considered a premier investment-grade piece for vintage firearm collectors. These highly coveted revolvers are routinely bought and sold through specialized collector platforms like high-end firearms
houses. .45 Colt
