**SOLD** 1939 Vintage Colt Officer's Model Heavy Barrel chambered in .32 Colt w/ 6" Barrel ** Rare w/ Factory Letter **

Description:
Colt Officer's Model Target "Heavy Barrel" fitted with a 6 inch barrel, adjustable Patridge target front sight, adjustable rear sight, checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions, checkered back-strap, checkered trigger face, is blue finished, and chambered in .32 Colt.  This 1939 vintage Colt Officer's Model "Heavy Barrel" is in excellent original condition, retaining 98% of its original blue finish, mostly due to high edge wear and assorted minor handling marks.  The grips fit very well and are in excellent original condition, retaining 99% original finish, showing little to no wear.  The bore looks as new and the action is tight and functions perfectly.  Included with this gun is a factory letter verifying its configuration and that its was shipped to Sportsman's Supply Co. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 13th, 1939.  Sorry, no box or paper-work.   Very rare, and according to some in the know, the "Heavy Barrel" was available from 1935 to early 1940's, in 38 caliber only, making this gun an anomaly.                                                                      CURIO & RELIC
