Colt 1950 Officers Model Special .22 caliber Alvin White Engraved with Roper Grips
Description:
This is one of a very few Colt Officers Model Special engraved revolvers. It was engraved by Colt’s dean of engravers, Alvin White, who worked at Colt during the 1950s-1960s. It has Alvin White’s stamp on the grip frame and indicates that this revolver was indeed engraved by him. Alvin White was referred to as the Dean of American engravers and his work was regarded by his peers as the best of its time. To add even more desirability to this incredible firearm, it is chambered in .22 caliber and is equipped with a set of Roper stocks. The hammer is also polished with engine turned swirls on each side which adds a nice touch. The gun dates to 1950. The gun remains in excellent condition and would rate 99%. It is doubtful that it has ever been fired. The Roper stocks are near perfect with the exception of a chip on the lower right side. I offer a three day non firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly in a hard pistol case and shipped via FedEx Air with full insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information. Please see my other Colts and various collectible firearms that I have listed. Thanks for your interest and please let me know if you have any questions. Price is $7250.00 plus shipping.
Please Note: A same as cash price Lay-A-Way plan is available on this gun. Please call to discuss.
