ONE OF THE RAREST POST-WAR COLT DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVERS IS THIS .22 MAGNUM CHAMBERED OFFICERS MODEL MATCH, #77XXX, MADE THE YEAR OF INTRODUCTION FOR THE .22 MAGNUM CARTRIDGE IN 1959. This is a basically new, unused revolver in about perfect condition inside and out. All it needs is a box. Interestingly, the .22 Magnum Rim Fire cartridge was introduced by Winchester in 1959 BEFORE they even had their Model 61 plump rifle available for it! It is thought that approximately 800 or so Colt Officers Model Match revolvers were chambered for the .22 Magnum before the chambering was dropped in the 1960s. One of the most difficult to find and seldom encountered Colt revolvers of the period. This one is a gem and no doubt one of the first produced.
