1919 Colt Police Positive Special, .38 Spl, 4” Barrel, C&R

Description:
For your consideration is a Colt Police Positive Special revolver, manufactured in Hartford, Conn in 1919.

Introduced in 1907, the Colt Police Positive Special is a small-frame, double-action revolver with a six-round cylinder, primarily chambered for .38 Special. The Police Positive Special was intended primarily for sale to law enforcement agencies and enjoys the distinction of being Colt’s most widely produced revolver design, with over 750,000 built.

This revolver is chambered for the .38 Special cartridge and features a 4” barrel, hard rubber grips, and fixed sights.

It retains its original finish with minor handling wear. Screws are unmolested and the markings are legible and sharp.

Grips are in very good condition, apart from a chip in the heel of the right grip.

Bore is excellent, mirror bright with sharp rifling. Chambers are clean.

It is mechanically excellent with tight lockup, crisp trigger/action, and correct timing. It appears to have been seldom fired.

Overall, a very nice Police Positive Special for your collection or shooting pleasure.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide a copy of their FFL’s license. It may be emailed or included with payment.

Sales tax collection/remittance (if required) will be the responsibility of your FFL at the point of transfer. I will provide a sales receipt upon request. I am registered with the state of California for approved gun transfers.

All firearms have a 3-day, no firing inspection period from the date the item is received at your FFL Dealer or C&R. The firearm cannot leave the FFL premises prior to inspection/acceptance. The date received is the date the item is shown as delivered by the tracking information provided by the shipping entity.
Returns are only accepted for items that arrive at the transfer agent in a condition other than advertised in the listing. Returns must be left with the transfer agent.
Firearms returned for other than damage or misrepresentation will have all shipping/ fees and a restocking fee of 15% subtracted from the refund. Any damage incurred in transit is the responsibility of the shipping agent (USPS, UPS, etc.). I will assist with any claim, but any damages will be paid by the shipping agent.
