** SOLD ** Colt Python 4" Barrel Blued in .357 Magnum **Mfg 1976 - 2 Sets of Grips**

Description:
For consideration is a very nice Colt Python double action revolver chambered for .357 Magnum caliber. The Colt Python is a .357 magnum caliber revolver manufactured by Colt's Manufacturing Company of Hartford, Connecticut. It was first introduced in 1955, the same year as Smith & Wesson's M29 .44 Magnum. The Colt Python is intended for the premium revolver market segment. Some firearm collectors and writers such as Jeff Cooper, Ian V. Hogg, Chuck Hawks, Leroy Thompson, Scott Wolber, Renee Smeets and Martin Dougherty have described the Python as "the finest production revolver ever made". The .357 Magnum is a smokeless powder cartridge with a 0.357 in bullet diameter. It was created by Elmer Keith, Phillip B. Sharpe, and Douglas B. Wesson of firearm manufacturers Smith & Wesson and Winchester. The .357 Magnum cartridge is notable for its highly effective terminal ballistics. This particular example is in very good condition with a beautiful deep blued finish and virtually no signs of use other than very light turn rings on the fluted cylinder. Sights are blade front and adjustable TRU DOT rear. The walnut grips are in minty condition with sharp cut checkering and Colt Medallions on each side. The 4" barrel has a bright bore, strong rifling, vent rib and full underlug. The trigger pull is very good. Colt box and Pachmayr grips are included. This fine Colt Python would make a great addition to a collection or a strong start to a new collection.
