Serial number: VA1417 was made in 1980 w/ a factory 

One of the few hand-fit American made production handguns. Double action revolver  w/ Electorless Nickel finish, 6-shot swing-out fluted cylinder, adjustable rear all black sight, 6" Vent Rib barrel, and walnut checkered stocks w/ gold medallions. 

Revolver is stil in its original factory box w/ styrofoam insert inside woodgrain sleeve w/ gold Colt logo. The box's end label w/ original Colt barocde and serial number has been torn loose, but is included, along w/ its corect Colt Custom Gun Shop over-label. This is correct and original, as Special Finish Pythons of this era were originally run through production the same as blue guns were, and then received the custom finish and a new, updated Colt Custom Gun Shop label. 
 
This revolver is very nice overall w/ little to no sign of being shot outside the factory. You can find a little "haziness" in the finish, if you turn the gun just right in the light, but there are no blemishes from use or neglect. I would rate it 98% to 99% overall in the original box w/ paperwork and factory hang tag.
