Colt Python 8” 357 Mag, Royal ColtGuard Finish, Original All Matching, Excellent Condition!

Description:
Available for sale is an excellent condition Colt Python with 8” barrel and a Beautiful Electroless Nickel finish known as Royal ColtGuard. This 8” Nickel Finish Python comes with the provenance a serious Python collector is looking for.
It comes with:
--The original Colt Box
--Original (Stamped) Colt label that indicates “ENICK on the finish.
--All of the original paperwork, Instruction Manual, Colt Companion Papers, Service Center Information.
--Original Safety hang tag are also included.  
This Python was manufactured in 1981 according to the serial number.
The 8" barrel has a ventilated rib, and a two-pin black fluorescent ramp front sight.
Bore is superb with strong lands and grooves.
Also included are original Gold Colt medallion Pachmayr Presentation grips.
If you look closely on the cylinder you can see every other cartridge chamber has a very slight powder mark on the distal (exit) end.
Colt factory practice for proofing a Python was to fire three cartridges instead of all six. So, you can see slight evidence of the gun proof rounds in only three of the six chambers, or every-other chamber.
Regarding the Nickel finish: Colt used different names for this finish depending on the model it was applied to. Trooper MKIIIs, for example, were finished in "ColtGuard", while Pythons always had an extra level of polishing applied before finishing, and then were finished in the trademark name marketed as "Royal ColtGuard" and at some point, "ENICK" became a common term used by Colt. This original box indicates the Python has an "ENICK" finish, which was the trademark name for Royal ColtGuard.
