1883 Colt Frontier Six Shooter, 44/40, Etched Panel, Carved Ivory, Leather Embossed Gunfighters Case
Description: 1883 Colt Frontier Six Shooter wearing a 7.5 inch Blued barrel and Carved Antique Elephant Ivory one piece grips. Chambered in 44/40 cartridge, matching numbers on Blackpowder frame, trigger guard and butt. Original finish gun with crisp roll marks down to the tiny .44 on barrel bottom. Acid etched "Frontier Six Shooter" faint but legible on barrel with correct one line address on barrel top. Good tight action with all the good hammer clicks. Good bore with strong rifling. Beautiful Antique carved Elephant Ivory grips with Eagle with Serphant on RT. side and Mexican "LIBERTAD" emblem carved on left side, meaning Liberty and Freedom. This fine piece comes cased in a Leather Gold embossed gunfighters travel case with compartments for ammunition and other necessaries. The initials " E.C.P." In Gold on case cover, the owners name lost in history. First time offered. A wonderful package from our American West history in top condition. Antique firearm, can be shipped direct in most free states where allowed. (Colt Archives Letter Ordered and will go with gun.) Add 3% if paying with Credit card.
