Description: 1906 Colt SAA First Gen wearing a 5.5 inch barrel and chambered in .45 Colt. Colt archives letter shows gun shipped Oct 16, 1906 to Wells Fargo & Company, New York, New York , c/o W.M.Ashton purchasing agent for Wells Fargo Company from 1888 to 1910. Factory inscribed "W.F.& Co. On butt. Further doc showing shipment of 12 guns on this same date to Wells Fargo from a Colt peacemaker book. Revolver remains in very good condition with four clicks and rock solid action, good bore and one piece Walnut grips with WF written in pencil on inside of grips. All roll marks legible with one line address on barrel. Numbers match on frame, trigger guard and butt. Front sight blade notched, Blued finish turned light Silver patina.
