Excellent bore, bright with sharp rifling, showing just light black powder roughness. Excellent clean cylinder chambers. Excellent action, strong hammer notches, properly timed, no end shake, just a little cylinder movement. When the U.S. sold these guns surplus circa 1912 to dealers, some dealers removed the U.S. to make the guns more attractive to civilian buyers. This gun has had the U.S. very cleanly and professionally removed, very smooth with just a little depression. Frame is very clean inside. Very sharp clear early 2 line patent dates.Early Italic barrel address, #6359 with sharp P.. First style barrel with stud provision, and first style ejector housing with barrel stud and bullseye ejector. Early frame #2359, made 1873. Trigger guard #7982. Back strap #113396. Cylinder marked DFC and 6868 with a sharp P. One piece wood grips are solid old replacements. Sold as antique collectible. Buyer must be over 21 years and legal in his state.
