Antique Colt Single Action Revolver .45cal., 7 1/2", Nickel, Ivory Grips, w/Factory Letter 1881
Description:
Very desirable, Wexell & DeGress shipped black powder Colt SAA in .45cal., nickel finish, and old ivory grips. These Wexell & DeGress shipped guns rarely come up for sale, as not a lot of them survived. This gun has a nice older nickel finish, with all factory markings that are still nice and clear, including the barrel address. All the leading edges on the frame, as well as the cylinder, are nice and sharp. Beautiful old ivory grips, with small multi-colored blue, green, and amber stones inset on each side of the ivory grips. All serial #'s match, the bore would rate very good to excellent, with hardly any corrosion present. The mechanics are good, and the gun works correctly. Wexell & Degress were exporters, and would ship bulk orders of guns, 200 in this shipment, to their store down in Mexico City, for less money than through Colt's. There was a high demand for new Colt revolvers in Mexico during this time period. Most guns used down there were badly worn, and have had their barrels cut off. This is a nice, south of the border survivor, with great eye appeal !! Please ask questions if desired. NO FFL required for shipping, unless, the state you live in requires one before receiving it. USPS money order ships same day received. $35.00 shipping which includes insurance to the lower 48 states, at this time there are NO sales to CA.
