It retains nearly all of its original case colors and approximatly 95% of its original blue, with most loss due to thinning on the grip straps.
There is some scattered and very light mottling to edges of the finish over all, which does not detract from this high condition Colt.
This revolver is accompanied by a Colt factory letter confirming its original configuation, .38 Colt, 4 3/4" barrel, and shipping date of June 20, 1914.
The box is complete with wear to the edges and a tear where the hammer of the gun has pushed through.
The box rates good to very good for being 110 years old.
