Colt Single Action Army .38-40 caliber revolver. This Single Action has a factory letter and was shipped in March 1925 to Wolf & Klar in Fort Worth, Texas. Gun is engraved by Wolf & Klar. They were well known to do this style of engraving and it is easily recognizable as being Wolf & Klars’ work. The gun has 95% original factory nickel as called for in the letter. (Note: Wolf & Klar engraved though the nickel finish) Bore is very good and has what are most likely the original Wolf & Klar grips. Factory letter calls for hard rubber grips but Wolf & Klar would put pearl grips when they engraved the gun. These Fort Worth engraved Single Actions have become very collectable and have a real western charm. Comes with a nice display case.
