Description:
Standard configuration Colt Single Action Army revolver in .45 caliber, SN: 132154, with blued 7.5" barrel/grip and case-hardened frame. Usual fixed front sight with traditional notched rear sight. Top of barrel marked "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG Co HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.". Left side of frame with stamped patent dates and "US" positioned below the cylinder area. SN "132154" appears on the bottom of frame, trigger guard, and butt with matching "2154" on outer cylinder. "619" stamped on the loading gate. RAC inspector initials under barrel, frame, and bottom of left grip. Fitted with smooth walnut grips, the left panel bearing a rectangular inspector's cartouche below the year 1890; RAC within rectangle on the right panel.
Condition:
VG original finish with a thinning blue and faded case colors as typical for a holstered U.S. military revolver that saw moderate use and is now 135 years old. Comparable condition grips, the left panel with more handling marks and added varnish. Mirror bright bore. Correct manual mechanics with each cylinder indexing properly slow cocking. ANTIQUE!
